A surprise female visitor arrives by helicopter to convince a struggling PI, Birdie Kelley, to find the woman's former husband, a coal baron who went looking for the fountain of youth. Tracking her to Catalina Island, Birdie learns of Shelley's plans to start a new life. With her Irish stubbornness, Birdie refuses to quit working to stop the potential rise of a new Nazi Germany.
